Thanks to Nadine Parkos, who spearheaded a community effort to raise the needed funds, the painting of the last of the Venice Canals walk bridges will be completed today. Due to budget constraints, the City of Los Angeles has been unable to paint our bridges for a few years. Over the summer residents painted seven of the nine bridges that were close to their respective homes. There were two remaining that no one claimed as a painting project. The funds were raised over the past couple of weeks … in fact, enough to paint one of the Dell Avenue bridges which will be painted tomorrow. THANKS TO ALL WHO HAVE VOLUNTEERED TIME AND $$$ TO MAINTAIN OUR BEAUTIFUL BRIDGES !!!
