Sad news regarding Henry Colman

We are sad to report that Henry Colman passed away yesterday. Henry was not only an accomplished and respected television producer; he was also a long-time resident of the canals and very active in the community. He served as president of the Venice Canals Association for many years, and at the time of his passing was a Director Emertius for the VCA.

We’ve been informed there will be no funeral, but have heard that for those who like, you can make a contribution in Henry’s memory to the Archive of American Television,  Television Academy
Foundation. Cards of condolence can be sent to Donna Colman, Henry’s wife, at 423 Linnie Canal.

We in the canals have lost a wonderful neighbor and a dear friend.

VCA 2012 Downwind Regatta & Duck Race

Five Reasons to Enter

  1. It’s fun … it’s not about winning but having a great time with your family, friends and neighbors!
  2. It’s creative … you don’t need a boat … make your own … invent a method to get to the finish under wind power! Or give us a call and we will try to find you a boat to borrow!
  3. It’s memorable … create a life-long memory for the little ones (and the young-at-heart)!
  4. It’s motivational … you are the only ones that can “motivate” your ducky(s) down the race course!
  5. AND … you could WIN a fabulous rubber ducky trophy … the 3 boats in each division that cross the finish line in the fastest time will receive trophies !!!
